The Islamic regime has charged two more actresses for violating the hijab laws. This is the latest in a spate of related prosecutions. Baran Kowsari, 37, and Shaghayegh Dehghan, 44, both actresses, were charged separately on Friday, May 5th, following their public appearances without mandatory hijab.
Kowsari was charged after she attended the funeral of actor Hesam Mahmoudi without a headscarf. Her photos were immediately published on the internet and media close to the regime.
Dehghan was similarly charged for “not wearing a hijab in the cafe of the Ghoghnoos Book Publishing House without the mandatory hijab.
If prosecuted, the actresses could face fines or prison terms.
