On April 15th, Ali Jamadi, the Khomeinist regime’s deputy attorney general, announced the implementation of a new law that will see those who encourage women to remove the hijab to be prosecuted in criminal courts without any right to appeal the conviction. Jamadi said: “The punishment for the crime of promoting and encouraging others to remove the hijab is much heavier than the crime of removing the hijab itself because it is one of the clear examples of encouraging corruption.”
An increasing number of women have defied the Islamic regime’s compulsory hijab and dress code, appearing unveiled in public areas.
